Camp Artemis/Artemis Leadership Training Adventure is about:
Girls leading girls towards the achievement of skills for life. Through recognition and development of their own leadership skills, girls learn to share these gifts with family, community and the world.
There are three levels of leadership development which progresses by age at Camp Artemis.
Courage (Phase I): to try new things (outdoor skills), make new friends and try to fully participate as part of a group.
Confidence (Phase II): to continue to challenge oneself with harder skills and learn how to lead a group.
Character (Phase III): to learn to move beyond self, be independent and lead a group with honesty, fairness and inclusiveness.
Advanced leadership development occurs within the year-long Artemis Leadership Training Adventure program. The Youth Staff plans, implements, and directs Camp Artemis.
Girl Scout Mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character,
who make the world a better place.
