Welcome! Camp Artemis and Artemis Leadership Training Adventure (ALTA) are the two parts of an exciting and innovative outdoor leadership program. This program is part of the Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast and provides girls with the opportunity to discover, connect, and take action, leading to the development of life-long leadership. Camp Artemis takes place in Central California's beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains and is a week-long outdoor residential camp. 2018 Camp Artemis is scheduled for Sunday, July 22 to Saturday, July 28, 2018. The MANDATORY Orientation Day is Saturday, June 23, 2018 and the Reunion/Youth Staff Interviews will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018.

The 2018 Camper Reunion is on Saturday, August 25 from 9am to 2:00pm for campers including those who will be interviewing for ALTA Staff. Please see ALTA Staff Interview Information for those who will be applying for Youth Staff (14 by Fall 2019 and successful completion of Camp Artemis Phase 3). Lunch will be provided. Please wear closed toed shoes, Artemis t-shirts, and long pants. Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and mosquito repellent in a daypack. Camper ages are girls entering 5th grade through girls entering 12th grade. Camp Artemis is based on the development of leadership and outdoor skills including, but not limited to: backpacking, sleeping in one's own personal tent, archery, swimming, counseling, setting the example, and making new friends. The uniqueness of this program is that it is a camp completely planned, implemented, and directed by girls. 

Camp is led by high school aged girls that have previously graduated Phase 3 of Camp Artemis, are entering 9th grade or higher, and have applied, interviewed, and been accepted into ALTA (Artemis Leadership Training Adventure).​ ALTA is a year-long program that meets for one weekend each month to prepare for camp. On these weekends, we work on outdoor skill building, developing the eleven leadership competencies, and planning the week of camp. We have created a self-sustaining leadership development program, run by girls, for girls, and we have fun in the process.

Registration for Camp Artemis 2018 is now open. Go to Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast's website to start the registration process. Please be aware that there is a mandatory Orientation Day at Boulder Creek Scout Camp on Saturday, June 23 from 9am - 2pm for new AND returning campers. Parent/guardian orientation is from 9am -11:30am. No exceptions! Thank you.
